Interestingly enough, a rare bleeding disorder paved the way for Chayse Pannell's musical career. As an infant, Chayse was diagnosed with severe hemophilia, a disorder in which blood doesn't clot properly, or in his case, at all. Playing it safe, Chayse took to hobbies that allowed him to express himself creatively and challenge his mind. He began playing piano at age 9, and it only took a song or two to know he had a natural gift. By his teens, Chayse was an accomplished multi-instrumentalist skilled on keys, guitar, bass, percussion and voice. As if that wasn’t enough, he then added songwriting to his list of musical talents with the help of his best friend and writing partner, Kevin Flake.
The neighboring duo wrote several songs together and developed a unique sound that motivated Chayse to pursue his passion full-time.
Inspired by John Mayer and The Beatles, Chayse infuses early rock with his own flair of acoustic and electric guitar lending bluesy melodies and layered harmonies to each track.
He is the sole composer, singer, and instrumentalist on his upcoming album. In other words, every instrument, lyric, harmony, guitar riff or drum beat you hear is Chayse’s own genius and ability.
From rock to folk, it’s hard to miss the spirit in Chayse Pannell’s work. His music exudes his upbeat personality, contagious optimism, and drive.
Chayse Pannell is an accomplished musician and instructor. He currently teaches a variety of stringed and percussive instruments at School of Rock East Cobb. When he isn’t teaching music, you can find him in his home studio singing duets with Kate, writing music and always picking at the guitar!
